Poglification

Tadej Pogačar now has 12 months in the rainbow jersey where he can rewrite the history books and smash some records. There are still a surprising amount of races which have never been won by a current world champion. And also, despite talk of Pog almost having ‘completed cycling’. There are still 22 WorldTour level races which he has yet to win.

So, Pog, just for you… here is a list of things for you to get busy with in 2025.

Below is a table showing when the last time each WorldTour race was won in the rainbow jersey. And also whether Pog has won it at all yet or not.

The most surprising takeaways from the table are that Pog has yet to win either the Dauphiné or the Tour de Suisse (too busy faffing around playing rock paper scissors in Slovenia). Dwars Door Vlaanderen, despite being won by the likes of Mathieu van der Poel, Tom Boonen, Johan Museeuw and Jan Raas, has never been won by the world champion. Oscare Freire somehow managed to avoid winning Milan-Sanremo in the rainbow jersey despite winning both races three times each. And a reminder, as if it was needed, that the 12 months Freddy Maertens went through between the summers of 1976 and 1977 were absolutely absurd.

Plenty to aim for. What should Pog do next? Answers in the comments below…
